Finding Truth in the Midst of Deceit

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ….For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ.  And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”(2 Corinthians 11:3,13-14)

A friend of mine in Houston maintained a website for about 2 years which was a very good source of information on a certain religious organization called La Luz Del Mundo.  He has since not been able to afford to continue the site.  However, since my interactions with this group are part of what has led me to where I am today, I would like to share some of the information I know about this group and some of my dealings with them here.

First, how I came to know about La Luz Del Mundo.  Back in 2008, I was dating a young woman who went to church just about every day.  I’ll not use her name, but one day, she invited me to go to church with her.  At this point, I had only been a believer in Christ for about 2 and a half years, and although I read my Bible regularly, I still had not found a place to attend church services.  I agreed to go, even though the services at her church were held in Spanish.  I can speak Spanish at an intermediate level, and there was an interpreter provided for the things I could not understand.  After listening to the Pastor speak, and also talking with different members there, I became concerned about the things they were teaching and believing, as it did not seem to be in line with a straightforward understanding of Scripture.  I was led to do more research into the group’s teachings and history, and what I found is quite troubling.  Although the group calls itself a Christian church (In fact, it calls itself the ONLY true Christian church), I have no choice but to consider them a cult because of the things they teach.

La Luz Del Mundo has it’s international headquarters in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.  The group is centered around 2 leaders – Eusebio Joaquin Gonzalez, known as “Aaron the Apostle” to his followers, and since 1964, his son Samuel Joaquin Flores.

Eusebio Joaquin Gonzalez was the founder of the group.  He was born in 1896 in Jalisco to a family of small means, and joined the constitutionalist army during the Mexican revolution, fighting from 1915 to 1921.  He continued in the army until 1926, when he left the army after coming into contact with ministers of a Pentecostal church.  He and his wife Elisa worked for leaders of the church.

On the night of April 6, 1926, he claimed to experience a revelation in which God spoke to him, designated him as an Apostle, gave him the name Aaron, and charged him with the task of restoring the primitive Christian church.  Following this, he journeyed on foot to Guadalajara, Jalisco.  Jalisco at this time was the center of the Cristero rebellion, a Catholic movement involved in an armed conflict with the anti-catholic administration of Plutarco Elías Calles.  Anthropologists have stated that Gonzalez' anti-catholic stance and his relations with high standing army officials enabled him to get a good footing in Guadalajara, where he was able to recruit a substantial number of followers especially among the poor.  In the early thirties he was able to purchase a large tract of land on the outskirts of Guadalajara. On this land he constructed the first church of the movement and the sold the rest in parcels to church members, effectively building an entire neighborhood of devotees which he called "La Hermosa Provincia" (the Beautiful Province).

Samuel Joaquín Flores was born on February 14, 1937. According to church teaching, he was born dead but resurrected by his father.  Samuel was baptized into his father's church at 14.  He was married at 25 and took control of the church at 27.  Samuel's leadership was even more focused on outward growth than his father's and he began opening up the boundaries between the church and the surrounding world, and carried out an aggressive missionary strategy.  By the end of 2011, the faith has now spread to 43 different countries, including Australia, Israel, Russia, Cape Verde, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Moldova, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Romania, Norway, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Curaçao, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Canada, United States, and Mexico.

Now that you understand some of the background, let’s move on to some of the group's teachings.  I really don't have time to go through a point by point summary of all their teachings, so I'll give you some of the main pieces.
The group teaches that from the death of the last Apostle, (Apostle John) circa 96 AD, until the calling of Aaron in 1926, there was no salvation on earth.  That’s right – no Salvation for well over 1800 years, so all those who the Apostles entrusted to carry on the faith (ie Timothy, Titus, John Mark, etc.) – they not only failed to continue the church, but they weren’t saved themselves, according to this group, because there was no living apostle.
Aaron died in 1964, at which time followers say Samuel Joaquin Flores was elected by God as Apostle and the new leader of the church.
Samuel Joaquin Flores teaches members that La Luz Del Mundo is the only true Christian church, because he is the only true servant of God and Apostle of Jesus Christ, and that thus there can be no salvation outside his church.
A central doctrine is that one can only reach God through the servant Samuel and one can only achieve eternal salvation in the name of Jesus Christ.
The group teaches that only La Luz Del Mundo will achieve Salvation, because they believe in the election of the only true apostle.
The group denies the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity and espouses Nestorianism, dividing Jesus into two persons: Jesus (man) and Christ (God).  They say that Jesus did not become the Christ until his baptism by John, and was only the Christ for 3 years until his death on the cross.  Their version of Jesus was only a man, and not the God incarnate Jesus that the Scripture presents.
The group denies that Jesus rose from the dead in bodily form.
Women are required to wear ankle-length skirts, and prohibited from wearing trousers, cutting their hair or using make-up. Male and female members are separated during worship. The use of musical instruments is forbidden during services. The most important yearly rituals are the Holy Supper (Santa Cena in Spanish), held yearly on August 14 (Aaron Joaquin's birthday), the anniversary of Samuel's alleged calling by God (held on June 9–10) and the celebration of Samuel Joaquin's birthday on February 14.

As with any group that exalts one man above all others, and grants him essentially carte blanche, there has been a fair share of controversy connected to this group.
In 1942, the founder of La Luz Del Mundo, Eusebio Joaquin Gonzalez, was accused of exploiting underage women. Eusebio was later sued by two minors, Guadalupe Avelar and Ramona Olivares, who were impregnated by Eusebio. To settle the lawsuit, Eusebio registered himself as the father of Abel Joaquin Avelar and Martha Joaquin Olivares, his victims' children.
In 1997 and 1998, Moisés Padilla, a young dissident member of LLDM, was interviewed by several Latin American anthropologists and psychologists. Among other data, he provided a detailed account of having been drugged and sexually abused as a minor by Samuel Joaquín.  According to the L.A. Times, days after his interview, Padilla was kidnapped and stabbed 57 times with a dagger.
Additionally in 1998, a handful of women went public with similar accusations of being raped by Samuel Joaquín. After initiating a formal investigation through the Religious Affairs Department of Mexico's Interior Ministry and a state prosecutor, Mexican authorities remarked that "because the alleged crimes occurred so long ago [approximately 20 years from the initial report], it's unlikely any trial will take place."  Researchers assert that "the wealth and publicly known political connections of the sect with Mexico’s most powerful political party help explain the impunity with which this and other alleged human rights violations have occurred for decades."
In 2004 the church was accused on Mexican television of several counts of rape against female members. The accusations were spearheaded by the Mexican Anti-Cult group "The Christian Institute of Mexico", who demanded that La Luz del Mundo should be stripped of its legal recognition as a religion. The Mexican government was again reluctant to take action.
In May 2008 it was discovered that Samuel Joaquin Flores purchased an exotic zoo in Seguin, Texas, known as Silver Wolf Ranch (interesting name when you recall Jesus’ warning about wolves in sheeps clothing, is it not?).  Flores came under fire by local communities for closing off access to the public, given that "IRS regulations require nonprofits to actively promote their tax-exempt purpose of benefiting the public and not the personal wealth of anyone.”  Silver Wolf Ranch, valued in excess of $3 million dollars, was renovated with a private mansion and a "long rectangular warehouse" where, according to the ranch's manager Vaspi Coronado, the family's private collection of "real restored vintage automobiles are kept."

Then, there’s the way Samuel Joaquin and his father are regarded among the members.  They are clearly worshipped as divine, yet it is never acknowledged and even violently denied by the group’s faithful.  Samuel Joaquin is usually called "apostle" by the group's members, but is considered to be on the same level of authority as the Biblical Apostles such as Paul, Peter or John. In one the hymns published by members of LLDM, they claim their leader is the angel described in Revelation chapter 10.  Another La Luz Del Mundo hymn claims that Samuel Joaquin is greater than Moses.  Several other of the groups hymns claim that Samuel Joaquin has the power to redeem, justify, sanctify, and give Salvation and eternal life.
Now, before I knew any of this, and before I even recognized the falsehoods in the group’s teachings, I seriously considered converting and being baptized into this cult.  Some one may wonder why?  Well, quite frankly, it’s because I had the wrong motivations.  I really liked this girl I was dating, and I knew the only way we could be together was if I converted to the group.  When the Spirit opened my eyes, and I realized their teachings were wrong, I tried my hardest to convince her to leave so we could be together.  Although it made me recognize that my spiritual gifts include teaching and preaching the Bible, that wasn’t the right motivations either.

It was like doing a puzzle, and you find two pieces that fit together perfectly (minds out of the gutter, please), but they do not go together because the picture just doesn’t match up.  Besides, it was more than showing her correct doctrine – her whole family was a part of this cult, they were committed to it, and if she were to leave she’d be excommunicated and not allowed to interact with her own family any more.  It’s a sad situation.  We stopped dating a long time ago, and I rarely hear from her anymore, but I still remember her in my prayers from time to time – that she’ll realize the truth, and have the strength to stand for it.

I also met several other people who are in similar situations.  There was a man who married a member of this group, then later realized their teachings were false.  Yet, he stays with her and still attends with her, regarding it as his mission field for witnessing.  There was also another woman who married a member, and I’m happy to say the last time I heard from her, her husband had come to realize the group’s teachings were false, and left the group.  I even encountered a man who said that his wife was raped by the group’s leader before they were married, but by the time he found out it was too late to file charges, and he risked his life to leave the inner circle of the group.  He was doing all he could to witness to his family members who were still a part of the group.

Even though it's pretty easy to refute the group's teachings with just a little bit of Biblical knowledge, witnessing to members is very difficult, because they are trained that they cannot read and understand the Bible for themselves with the help of the Holy Spirit, but that only LLDM’s leaders can give them correct understanding.  This causes them to repeat what they are told almost by rote, and walk away from a discussion when they do not have a response.  For example, I was once asking a member why the group does not believe in the Trinity, he replied:
“The word Trinity is not in the Bible.”
“Does that mean the concept is not there?”
“Yes, because it doesn’t say Trinity in the Bible.”
“But, the concept is there – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each referred to as God.”
“But you will not find the word Trinity.”
“Well, you won’t find the word monotheism either.  Does that make monotheism an invalid concept?”
“The Catholics invented it.”
“The Catholics invented monotheism?”
“And the Greeks were wrong before them.”
“I don’t understand.  Monotheism is the concept that there is only one God.  Do you mean to say that’s an invalid concept invented by the Greeks and Catholics…because the word monotheism is not in the Bible?”
“Look, the Bible never says Trinity OK?”
At that point, he walked away from me, and our conversation was over.

There are many other stories like that, but this post is already long as is.

Anyways, some people say that God works in "mysterious ways."  That's a little cliche for my taste.  I mean God is mysterious, how else would He work?  But through this and other experiences in my life, I've learned that God will reach people where they are, if they're really open to hearing from Him.  God works through some really messed up situations that we humans have made in this fallen world of ours, and He seeks to redeem those situations.  For instance, I was able to learn a lot about God's truth and His call on my life from interacting with a group that espouses deceitful teachings.  I’ve come to learn a lot about witnessing for God, and about humility and reliance on prayer through my interactions with this group.  I learned a lot about the true Gospel, for the simple reason that I said “I want to believe what’s true,” and I sought to verify the claims they were affirming, which is when the Spirit opened my eyes and really began teaching me.  After my interactions with this group, I did finally find a good Bible-based church in my area, where I have become involved as a regular attendee and made some very good friends.  I learned about my own spiritual gifts.  And, I also grew to understand about the sad state of Christianity in the world today, and the tremendous need for discernment, even with those who call themselves Christians.  They may say they believe in Jesus – but you better make sure it’s the Jesus of the Bible.  Be a Berean:
"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."(Acts 17:11)
In the words of LeCrae - "The world's full of them sheep with the sharp teeth."
Anyways – if you’d like to learn more about the group, below are some various sources of information.  And, the comments section is always open to you, my friend, whether you have comments, questions, concerns, or death threats.

Thank you for reading, and until next time - don't drink and drive, don't text and drive, and God bless America, it's a beautiful country.

    1. Hi, I know I'm a stranger I was from that religion before but I am no longer for the reasons stated in this site. I would really like to know about your lawsuit and the charges you have against LLDM. I would like to get in contact with you if that's ok.

    2. You are welcome to call me anytime. My email is soglelaw@peoplepc.com. I used to date a rape victim who explained the horror of being raoed. She also identified other victims in Houston. I believe her. LLDM supporters immediately attempt to discredit anyone who speaks out. Whethet it's a few bad apples, or an institutional ritial is a matter of opinion. What is clear is that it rises all the way to Samuel, his late father reportedly killed by an angry husband of a victim, and now Samuel's son living in Houston. Samuel now is dying of cancer. God has a special place in hell for father Sammy, I have no doubt. Those who defend those who take advantage of young girls and steal their virginity should be stoned - a similar otherwise outrageous religous practice

    3. Anonymous,
I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. You and I have never spoken, and you know nothing of my story. If you're referring to me "lamenting" the loss of a girlfriend who I am "twice as old as", then clearly you know nothing of me. I've never dated anybody half my age, and I am very happily in a relationship.
The purpose of this blog is to show the errors in the teachings of LLDM, it is not about "lamenting", as you put it. It so happens that I came to know about LLDM through some one I used to date, but that's really not the point, so I guess I'll go back to the drawing board with you.

If the teachings of Samuel Joaquin are true, and LLDM is the true church, then you will have no problem answering the following question:

Why is it necessary to believe that Samuel Joaquin is an apostle in order to receive Salvation? Please provide specific Biblical references when giving your answer.

    4. I too have never spoken to you. If you are the harrassing LLDM member who kept badgering me, then I do remember ypu. Far from lamenting, I would never spend my time with a narrow minded female who prioritizes her church from hell over past and future rape victims by refusing to speak out about her own LLDM experience. It is because of aggressive attacking cult supporters like you who intimidate church vicrims from speaking to law enforcement. I also recall you never answered questions on point, but would defensively spin the question to make a bland statement of your own. You and your gang members will have alot to explain one day. You are already on my witness list.

    5. Your name is Eduardo Fuentes, I believe. The younger chick is not half my age, but she has now grown into the size of a cow, and I am blessed to be engaged to a wonderful woman who isn't affiliated with your cult. Since you and I were not present for the church sex rituals, we both must have an open mind regarding the mounting evidence that they did, and continue to occur. To discount everyone's evidence of church hedonism - including Anonymous April 2, 2013 - is being closed minded. 4/2/13 appears to be a gentleman than you with a wealth of information about the church, both before and now. Do you feel he is also lying? I believe my ex and what she told me, yet you have criticized her own account of being raped. The church, and her both went to court attempting to silence what I have discussed in depth with you, and both judges summarily dismissed their motions. (see No. D-1-GN-12-000818 Travis County District Court). I assume you are willing to testify in Court the mantra that you continue to harrass me and others, but if you want to remain annonymous with your blind mantra of defending LLDM no matter what the facts are, that's your decision. Just remember, you will be under oath should you be willing to defend the church in any proceeding. If you're just "blowing smoke", quit wasting people's time. I'm offering $10,000.00 reward for a rape victim to report her (or his) rape to law enforcement. Was Moises Padilla also lying before church supporters stabbed him?

    6. Anonymous,
you're a very silly person. You say " We are taught in church to treat humans with decency and respect,"

and yet just yesterday you said "I think that it is very clear that the guy above has a low IQ."

Is that the "decency and respect" your cult taught you? Also, you refuse to answer direct questions about the validity of your "church" and it's teachings, so please get off my blog with your hypocrisy. Thanks.

    7. Eduardo, before you go...

The following email was made by the same church member who later went to court and said otherwise. If I am wrong about all this, then the worst I have done is hurt some feelings. If I, and others, are right that your church is committing felony acts of sexual assault on minor females, then it simply needs to stop. That is my main goal. If you are right, then you can crow like a rooster. If you are wrong, however, then you stand a good chance of being damned, no matter what your leader says about your chances of hell. Sleep on that. -Scott Ogle 512.785.8833 / 512.442.8833 soglelaw@peoplepc.com

There was some typos in the last email, but I was in a hurry. Anyway, look, don't think that I don't care about the church's issues, I do. Do what you think is right. I just don't want to be a part of it. I respect my mother and other people that go there. I'd rather just let the "big boys" handle it, I'm just a powerless person with a small voice. Hope you get somewhere.
I did sorta over-react in my first response, but it had nothing to do with me not wanting the church to be exposed, believe that.

Anyway, I have some people in Houston you can talk to that have experienced the sexual abuse as children/teens from the higher-ups at the church (who are still higher-ups there), but I can't be mentioned. One person in particular is already a mother of 4 and in her late 30's. Show's how long this has been happening, and that it has in fact happened in the Austin chapter.

Anyway, like I said, I can't be a part of it. My mother will never ever forgive me, and I can't live with that. I am still helping, just not for people to see. I know how much you love your mother, so do I. Okay, just remember that and respect it.

This email is in a hurry too, so sorry for typos
Back to work now. TTYL Good Luck!, X

    9. The earlier email sent to me I feel is more credible, because the church asked her to write the later affidavit. Saying anything critical of the church brings consequences - that you are well of- such as being excommunicated by the LLDM church and one's own family. You know what happenes to Moises Padilla! And yes, she committed perjury in open court by contradicting her earlier email to me. And she was slumped over her chair and hair in shame the entire procceding. There is no doubt in my mind she told me the truth when she told me to my face, with tears streaming down her face in our living room. I also completely understand her refusal to admit it now, with aggressive verbal attacts just coming from you.

    12. You question her honesty and motives without directly speaking to her? Could it be you don't want to know the truth? That you can't handle the truth? Do you believe the part of the Bible that speaks of facing your accusor(s)? I believe the accused female was named Susannah.

    13. Eduardo Fuentes,

I'm getting really tired of your foolishness.

First of all, according to your facebook page, you are a member of LLDM. And yet, you find yourself so Biblically illiterate that you are not able to answer a simple question (which I have posed to you more than once).

If the teachings of Samuel Joaquin are true, and LLDM is the true church, then you will have no problem answering the following question:

Why is it necessary to believe that Samuel Joaquin is an apostle in order to receive Salvation? Please provide specific Biblical references when giving your answer.

Instead of responding to this very reasonable question, you continue this diatribe of fervently trying to defend the "honor" of your false apostle by calling into question the integrity of a woman you have never met.

Jesus said to make disciples, not to defend false apostles. Your actions are a reflection of your false church.

      Now, you say:
"There is no doubt in my mind that you played the role of a “good Samaritan”, if indeed she was so devastated psychologically, you took her under your arms and provided all the support that she needed to overcome it. A very young lady about 24 years old with a guy twice her age (do not deny it because this is the truth)."

Now, Eduardo, you of all people should know the result of speaking out against the leadership of your cult - excommunication from the "church" and from one's own family. Speak out and lose all family and friends, or change her story - that was the choice before this young woman. Not to mention the potential for violence against her if she were to speak out publicly (Moises Padilla, anyone?)

As far as her being 24 and with a man twice her age - I hardly see how that's any of your business, or even relevant at all to the discussion. Just a red herring. 24 years old is an adult who is able to make their own decisions.

      Yet, you go on:
"You also mentioned on your last reply ”I also completely understand her refusal to admit it now, with aggressive verbal attacts just coming from you” I am not attacking anybody, I am responding to your postings. I have never directly responded to her, so I do not understand how my responses are aggressive towards her. I told you very clearly before and I will do it again, IF ANYBODY COMMITS A CRIME IN ANY RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION WHETHER BE SEXUAL ASSAULT OR OTHER CRIMES, THAT PERSON SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE. If there is something you do not understand about my position please let me know."

      OK, here goes:
I hope you realize that one of the main reasons that Samuel Joaquin has never stood trial for the crimes of which he has been accused is because the crimes being alleged were committed too long ago (over 20 years sometimes). Sexual assault crimes are very difficult crimes to successfully prosecute because of things like statute of limitations. Also, DNA evidence (which of course would strengthen any such case) must be gathered within hours of the attack in order to be useful. Most of the victims who have come forward from LLDM do so after years of keeping quiet because of intimidation, fear of excommunication, etc. Thus, when they finally do come forward, it's too late to bring charges.

Now, this is where your position is unclear, and where I'd like to ask you a question about how genuinely in favor of justice you are.

You say that if anybody commits a crime...that person should be brought to justice. So, let's say, hypothetically, Samuel Joaquin Flores were on trial for sexual assault. Somehow, you were able to be placed on the jury of that trial (the prosecutor magically overlooked your affiliation with LLDM) - would you be able to fairly and without bias weigh the evidence presented and bring a conviction against "Apostle" Samuel, if the evidence so indicated?

    14. Just my opinion, "Eduardo", but some your responses and reactions to my comments have convinced me you are, in fact, a woman. In fact, I believe your name may be "Rebekah Sanchez", employed by Kapsner Chiropractic "Professionals" in Austin, Tx. Tel: 512.441.1240. If so, you were the Secretary for over 18 years on the Board of Directors of the Waller St. "Chapter" here in Austin, in which you were removed a mere 30 days after I personally sued you and the church because you refused to keep your mouth shut about your suspicions surrounding my single visit to your church. Apparently, the church chose to downplay your role and position within the church. According to my ex, and others, your position at the church is to be a "big sister" to those naïve, underage girls offered by their parents to local and national church elite all over the country, and to encourage those who are reluctant to give their virginity away at the church's "divine retreats". You also remind them that if they tell anyone, they will go to hell, just like the minister tells them. Your quick response to my "cow" comment by saying that human cows are beautiful finally got me to connect the dots. Your continued involvement in facilitating rapes, even in the name of a church, will catch up to you one day. Only, "just following orders" hasn't been accepted by criminal prosecutors - ever. The twisted thing is that you still think you're going to be rewarded for this behavior in your after life. I now have State Bar Approval to reach out to victims of yours who may be too old enough by now to be pissed at what happened to them. Either way, I am going to remind you of your tired exclamation "law breakers should be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent". You, and those like you, are going to be shut down by the law sooner, or later. I just have to provide it to law enforcement who have been waiting for a victim to come sit on their lap and tell their story for years. I'm going to help send you, and the others like you to hell on earth a little sooner than it would ordinarily happen. Then, I'm going to save whales.

    15. To emphasize 5 times how awful it is to refer an obese person as a cow - regardless of their other beautiful qualities- points to you being Rebekah (biblical spelling)) Sanchez. Completely ignore me, and everyone else critical of La Luz Del Mundo and, defend the few who make your cult a criminal institution who few dare to cross the line and criticize. How exactly do you know what goes on with others. I completely understand why your role is strictly limited to administration. I am also aware of consequences to you which provides a huge incentive to cast doubt. Some call that self preservation. I just call it a futile attempt to cover your ass.

  2. Anonymous,

Seeing as you don't have intimate knowledge of what evidence Scott may have gathered, I would say that admonishing him to not make a fool of himself is foolish. And BTW, blogs ARE websites. But if you wish to establish credibility for LLDM, then I invite you to answer one question:

Why is it necessary to believe that Samuel Joaquin is an apostle? Please provide specific Biblical references.

    Scott,
I apologize for not calling you. Any information you'd like, I can provide to you via email here: gerard3038@gmail.com

Wow.. Do you talk like that in your church? Very Christian of you! Says a lot of your church.

And whoever is reading this member of LLDM please do show us where in the Bible does it say SJF is an apostle.. and don't give one that assumes that he already is one example 1 Corinthians 12;28

    Give us a clear one.

Other than that I encourage all members of LLDM to read the Bible, not just the Bible versus they tell you to read.

    Thank you!

Liers? What is a lier? If your religion is so great, then why can't it teach you to spell correctly, or at the very least teach you some basic Christian civility?

This is yet more proof that LLDM is a cult (calling it a religion or a sect would be a complement) and of its cult-like mentality in lashing out at those whom they disagree with (maybe all that Samuel Joaquin worshiping has gotten to them).

  5. Dennys Miranda,

If the teachings of Samuel Joaquin are true, and LLDM is the real church as you say, then you will have no problem answering the following question:

Why is it necessary to believe that Samuel Joaquin is an apostle in order to receive Salvation? Please provide specific Biblical references when giving your answer.

    Thank you.

  6. Everybody makes fun of The Light of the World now but it is far from the church I was born into in 1953. My parents were both devoted members and things were so different then. The name and the structure are the same but it became corrupted by Samuel’s ambition and the people’s willingness and crazy desire to serve (and amazingly, worship) him. It’s been a slow and subtle progression since 1964 but now they’ve gone as far as to displace Jesus for him. He is a corrupt man, hungry for power, jealous of the wealth and power of the Catholic and Mormon churches. He wishes he had what they have but not only that, he wants more. He wants to be the biggest of all. Poor lunatic, he loves to read about Alexander the Great and likes to imagine himself as someone grand and important. What is crazy is how many people support and help him project this image!
He is far from being a man of God. He is paranoid and controlling. Everything he does is for the love of himself. His name is everywhere. He’s given credit and honor that should only be given to Jesus Christ. He has stolen the position of Apostle and led a very willing and equally disturbed congregation down an unimaginable path of idolatry. I mean, really, who has the nerve to take Jesus’s place of honor? And who in their right mind would follow him? Sadly these people and their leader are in a kind of spiritual lunacy, and they believe and accept what their hearts WANT to believe and accept.
The same thing happened with the original Church of Christ, which is the Catholic church. Because of corruption and ambition, they abandoned the path of Jesus Christ and turned to idolatry and heresy. The brother John wrote to the church (in 3 John 1:9), “But Diotrephes, how he loves to be first, will have nothing to do with us.” Diotrephes (the original usurper and corrupter) poisoned and led the people astray. Brother John was very old at that time and only a few brothers still recognized the Apostle as a servant of God.
It’s the same with this man, Samuel. He is NOTHING like Brother Aaron, who was truly a man of God, because there was nothing in his teachings that added or subtracted from the Holy Scriptures. There is nothing anyone can truthfully say they heard him say or teach that contradicted the Word of God. Samuel is delusional. He grew up hearing the word of God. But he turned his back on God and the true teaching in exchange for power and glory here on earth. But Brother Aaron gave a profetic sermon, his last before passing away. He referred to 2Thes 2:3, “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way…They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason, God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie.” Why did Brother Aaron say this? Because he knew his own son, and he knew those who would benefit (financially) from helping him achieve the position and status that he so desperately craved. Brother Aaron said that if only 20 of the thousands of members (at the time) were saved, I did the job that Jesus Christ entrusted to me. And all the members wanted to be one of those twenty. My father was one of them, and he spent his life trying to preserve and pass on what he was taught by Brother Aaron. He was 82 yrs old when he passed away, and he said, “In all my life, I haven’t found anybody who could teach the doctrine of Christ like Brother Aaron, which is the same teachings as the original Apostles of Christ.”

Being the 2nd largest church in Mexico alone, the resources of LLDM has enabled it to export its bad habits while maintaining a growing base in the U.S.

Brother Aaron had two sons. One liked to fool around but at least he was honest about it. The second one was Samuel, who always thought he was better than everyone else. Brother Aaron never liked that about him and he publicly reprimanded him on numerous occasions. That is why Samuel was always so mad and unhappy. But he was very spoiled by his mother, who helped him get to where he is now. And now they say that Brother Aaron had a mysterious third son who is also hungry for power, calling himself an apostle as well. They are both crazy and servants of the Beast.
First of all, the definition of an Apostle is one who is called by Jesus Christ to be His witness and establish His church. His teachings and doctrine are revealed to them. They CAN NOT come from an already established church because you can’t put a foundation on top of another foundation. They can not be raised or baptized in the church and it is definitely not something that is passed from generation to generation, like a monarchy.
Brother Aaron never pretended to be anything he was not. He never called himself the Messiah or an angel. He said he was simply a man who God’s merciful eyes looked upon him and called him to be a Servant of God. He truly loved and served God, and taught others to do the same. And God is the only one who can and should judge him for any of his imperfections. He was human and I’m sure he made mistakes but that is between him and God. To spread lies about him after he passed away is something one should be very careful about doing.
The point of this post is not to judge Samuel, God will do that in his own time, but it is to make it clear that the Light of the World under the guidance and direction of Brother Aaron was very different than the mockery that it was become under Samuel, the usurper. He is a usurper because he took a position of power in the church that did not belong to him and was not blessed or sanctioned by God. How do we know this? Look at his teachings. Look at his example. He only speaks of nonsense. He never speaks of spirtiuality or how to please God. His obsession is his congregation’s love and adoration for him, and how they can display it in ways that are fun for the senses. It’s pure self-love, arrogance, and hedonism. How can anyone in their right mind see him as a man of God? The only answer is that he and his followers are not of sound mind. But they are very happy living in their delusion. And everyone on earth has the right to pursue what makes them happy.
I’m just hoping that Brother Aaron’s work will stop being mocked because of what Samuel (and now his Abel) have the nerve to do because they love the world and they never loved God or believed in Him.
I’m happy to answer any questions that anyone has about the original, uncorrupted doctrine of the Light of the World.
Believing and obeying Jesus is the ONLY way to Salvation.

  12. You can if its kool aid. According to Gordon Melton and David Bromley the church La Luz del Mundo became subject to accusations of planning acts of violence or mass suicide against its members as a result of the Heaven's Gate mass suicide.[119] On March 27, 1997, one day after the bodies of the 39 members of the Heaven's Gate that had committed mass suicide were found, Jorge Erdely accused La Luz del Mundo of being a "destructive sect" with the potential for mass suicide. The accusation was made on TV Azteca, a highly popular channel in Mexico. This accusation unleashed a controversy in the Mexican media. Involved in this controversy were members and supporters of LLDM who defended the integrity of the church, intellectuals and academics who demanded a climate of tolerance for religious minorities, and two non-governmental organizations (the Departamento de Investigaciones Sobre Abusos Religiosos and the Instituto Cristiano de México) whose leaders were Hugo Elizalde and Jorge Erdely, respectively, who sustained the accusations against the church.

The church elite was allegedly so upset with this article that the church leader(s) issued a "death date" to Dr. Lourdes Arguelles-one of the college professors who authored this paper. 23. Today I spoke to a sexual molestation victim of La Luz Del Mundo Church. None of the following has been confirmed, but if any of the following is true, law enforcement has done a pitiful job on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border. Allegation #1: Construction workers/members fatally injured in Guadalajara Hermosa province of La Luz Del Mundo are cut up and fed to the exotic animals living onsite. Allegation #2: Samuel J Flores (SJF), lead "Apostle" of La Luz Del Mundo Church (LLDM) took his son Israel to Houston and ordered a lobotomy performed because Israel kept saying "bad things" about SJF. Allegation #3: The Guadalajara church Hermosa province has an underground tunnel filled with AK 47s and other military ammunition. Allegation #4: SJF was responsible for the murder of a Catholic Cardinal who he didn't like, and blamed it on the drug cartel. http://www.nytimes.com/.../cardinal-in-mexico-killed-in-a... http://articles.latimes.com/19.../news/mn-39567_1_gun-battle "Government officials said they thought it unlikely that Cardinal Posadas was deliberately murdered". How is being gunned down in a car at the Guadalajara airport NOT deliberate? http://bakirita.blogs.com/.../the-pope-vs-light-of-the... Come to think of it, gangs don't have much reason to kill a cardinal. They are probably more God fearing than SJF and his gang are. Allegation #5: SJF has 100s of millions of $ in several members' names deposited in Swiss bank accounts. Allegation #6: The church is heavily involved in human trafficking bringing Mexicans across the border used to build, and fill, churches being constructed all over the U.S. and Canada. Allegation #7 Parents offer their teenage daughters to local and national church elite for sexual pleasure. http://abrahamgovillo.wordpress.com/.../abuso-sexual-en.../ Allegation #8: FBI and DHS, Texas police/sheriff don't give a rat's ass, and in fact will quell anyone who speaks out about the organized criminal syndicate known as "La Luz Del Mundo" / "Light of the World". Allegation #9: Elderly are persuaded to give up their houses to the church with promises that they will live in a safe, clean nursing home, but instead, they are sent to rest homes squalid and dangerous conditions. Allegation #10: Anyone publicizing the criminal conspiracy will have their character assassinated. Absolutely crazy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02Sp5MkzknA http://www.timelines.ws/countries/MEXICO_C.HTML

  25. While our protest was rained out, we are promoting a rescheduled La Luz Del Mundo Human Trafficking/Sexual Exploitation Protest for March 22. One thing I did learn from Why We Protest is that the tactic of shooting the messenger used by Christian Science is the exact same used by La Luz Del Mundo supporters. Unlike Christian Science, LLDM is nothing more than an organized criminal syndicate. The church doesn't bother attracting locals to the churches being built all over the U.S. - they just smuggle over their own Mexicans and make money in coyote fees at the same time. While LLDM's criminal syndications are being uncovered, SJF's terminal cancer condition will soon cause many in the church to wonder whether God's apostles really do include 3 generations of Joaquins from Guadalajara, Mexico, or whether Samuel, his father, and his son are all full of shit, and are serial rapists, rather than men of God.

While a dozen members admonished me for having the nerve to suggest a new cause, the silent majority is not of the same opinion. It was explained to me that many people approach WWP with their own agenda, and there is a standard rejection which includes NYPA - not your personal army. Several other members have discussed privately the history of LLDM, and the evidence linking LLDM ministers, including Carlos Montemayor and Samuel J Flores to sexual molestation, human trafficking, money laundering, and fraudulent real estate transfers. There is no one, besides LLDM supporters, who discourages investigations. LLDM has historically controlled all information about its operation through intimidation, duress, and physical threats.....until now. LLDM also has a habit of "shooting messengers". Calling those who criticize the church thieves, criminals, and yes, crazy. If you are covering for the criminal acts of LLDM, I, and several others, are your worst nightmare. Our intent is to bring to justice those responsible for forcing children to submit to sexual acts, the parents who offer them, transporting illegals across international boundaries to fill LLDM chapters, and fraudulent real estate transfers. For these reasons, there is much support with both local and federal law enforcement. Your criticisms are nothing more than the status quo with LLDM's tactics to preserve a declining membership base, and attack a growing consensus that LLDM needs to start following the law.

    1. I strongly believe Samuel Joaquin along with the left movement in Mexico(PRD) orchestrated the "Casitas del sur" case, in revenge for what Erdely exposed about the sect. since the PRD is in power in Mexico city, they probably wanted a way to finance their political party, they arranged an agreement, SJF offered the money, and the PRD offered the false flag operation in order to blame Jorge Erdely for human trafficking of minors.

An investigator told me that Erdely after denouncing LLDM publicly, always feared for his life or revenge from SJF, and that he many times saw an helicopter flying over his house and people was following him all the time

In Mexico, for SJF with all that money he has, it is extremely easy to finance a political party and a false-flag operation just as for a camel going through the eye of a needle.

Although the government of Mexico city eagerly blames Jorge Erdely, they still have not ask for an extradition from USA to Mexico, Why?

  32. In 2005, Maeli Arellano was involved in a car accident. She sought the legal services of the unscrupulous lawyer named Scott Ogle from Austin. She was only 19 at the time while he was more than twice her age. This moron violated Texas ethics rules by engaging in a sexual relationship. Please read below:

    Prohibited Sexual Relations (Rule 1.13)

    Background

The relationship between a lawyer and a client is a fiduciary relationship, one in which the lawyer occupies the highest position of trust and confidence. Often a client is emotionally and financially dependent on his or her lawyer. When a lawyer has both a lawyer-client relationship and a sexual relationship with a client, problems arise in a variety of ways. For example, if the client is emotionally dependent on the lawyer, the lawyer may exploit the client and use the client's trust to the disadvantage of the client. A client may not have the financial ability to discharge a lawyer who makes unwanted sexual advances and may be afraid to say no. The lawyer's sexual relationship with a client may impair the lawyer's professional judgment and ability to represent the client objectively and competently. The dual relationships may blur the line between what is and is not a confidential communication, to the detriment of the client.

Recognizing these very real concerns, ABA Model Rule 1.08(j) prohibits sexual relations between lawyers and client.

This idiot needs to be prosecuted and his license revoked by the Texas Bar Association.

You're off on her age by 5-6 years, but what does any of this have to do with bringing LLDM to justice? Shooting the messenger? Why not start an Interpol rumor about me, like the LLDM "defenders" made up about others critical of the cult?

Interesting the past critics hammered me for not having sworn affidavits. I provide trial testimony, and now you're back to shooting the messengers. Give it up, and admit LLDM is a church from hell. I see that dog fighting is a favorite pastime of the LLDM Coronado family. Where did God go in LLDM's activities? You, sir, are the devil's advocate.

Just its amusing that LLDM's victims who flee to the U.S. are afraid to contact you, when now they have a chance of their voice being heard through you. I know that several of them smuggled into U.S. as iilegal immigrants and maybe that's the why they don´t get involved to LE, because they'd be deported to mexico and such thing is almost equal to a death sentence. Also several of them still having relatives into the cult, is very difficult to stand the shame, outrage and sorrow.

You have the God given right to profess whatever you believe works for you, but your arguments will be totally biased as you do not know what is a cult. When you use the word “cult” with a religious epithet; then, you are saying that you have the knowledge of what is true gospel/teaching of God and somebody else outside this is a cult. Your argument has no value in a Christian blog, totally biased, and I will advice you to go and join an atheist blog. This is common sense that the majority of atheists will agree with me unless you are totally confused with your own beliefs. Just a question, were you agnostic prior to becoming atheist? If this is true, I must have chatted on the web with you before!

They are still believing themselves as "chosen people" just when they're LLDM members. They still believing in god and sweet baby jesus, they think about themselves as "primitive Christians, the Firsts Christians" you know, those ones that only sat in their asses and waited for the End of the world and the second came of the Lord and only wanted to pray all day long (read the firsts chapters of Acts book of bible). All these crap nowadays only produce LAZY GUYs and USELESS PEOPLE

So, you're wasting your time there, the exlldm are bigoted people and because they wait for God retaliation against SJF and ministers, they NEVER do anything for fighting their rights, actually they’ve dropped their rights and all human dignity, just because they follow sweet baby jesus!! (read Philippians 3:8)

I think you´re correct, exlldm only wants to recruit to lldm members (steal membership) just like all cults does, just for creating a new cult and stay in darkness and nowhere, Therefore the cult lldm would survive and their bad practices you mentioned will continue for many centuries more!

  76. How an Atheist Found God

A personal account from an atheist who was convinced no god exists, and what facts led to God.

    By Marilyn Adamson

atheist experienceIt seemed to bother religious people when I'd ask them, "How do you know that God exists?"

Perhaps they wondered about my motives. Or maybe they had no idea how to answer. Most of their responses were, "Well, you just know."

I wasn't trying to be difficult. But I certainly did not "just know." And I was hoping someone did!

After many months of this, I thought, "Here are the people who say they believe in God, but no one knows why!" It was like learning the truth about Santa Claus. It seemed obvious that God was completely fabricated. Maybe some people needed to believe in God but clearly there was no proof. No objective evidence. I came to the most stark conclusion...God did not actually exist.

I held this belief for years, not expecting it to ever change. But then I met someone who caused me to become interested in the possibility of God. She was caring, kind, and very intelligent. It bothered me that someone that intelligent could believe in God.

She talked about God like he was her closest friend. She was convinced he deeply loved her. I knew her life well. Any concern she would take to God, trusting him to work out a way or care for her in some way. She would tell me, quite candidly, that she was merely praying that God would act upon her concerns. For over a year, I regularly saw what seemed to be answers to her prayers. I watched her life through a myriad of circumstances, and her faith in God was unwavering.

So, I wanted to believe in God on one hand, because I admired her life and her love for others. But I couldn't believe in something against my intellect, against my better judgment. God did not exist. A nice idea, but that was all. Wanting something to be true, doesn't make it true.

During this time I was developing a personally built philosophy.

I tried something that I'm not sure many people do. Every few weeks, I would study a particular philosopher's take on life ...Nietzsche, Hume, Dostoevsky, Sartre, Plato, etc. and then try to apply it to my own lifeI was looking for the perfect, workable philosophy for life. I found over and over, that either their philosophies seemed lacking, or were too impractical to actually implement. But I kept searching.

I was challenging my friend with every question that came to mind about God. I would find myself writing out questions late in the evening. This went on for well over a year. One day she handed me a book that briefly answered questions like, is there a God; is Jesus God; what about the Bible. It presented facts. No comments like, "you have to believe."

I saw some evidence for God that was solidly logical. I'm not normally drawn toward science. However, the parts particularly convincing to me were the chemical properties of water and the earth's position to the sun. It was all too perfectly designed, too perfectly put together. My faith in "nothing behind it all" seemed weaker than the possibility of God. I had fewer reasons to be certain of nothing, and more reasons to conclude that God might be there.

I then encountered a situation that fully challenged my current philosophy on life. What I had been putting my faith in proved to be completely insufficient. It shocked me to see that I was at a loss for an approach to life that was fully reliable. However, the situation resolved itself and I moved ahead. I have a pretty steady personality. Throughout my life, I never really felt "needy." No on-going crisis. No big gaps or struggles. And certainly nothing I felt guilty about.

  77. But the concept of God was something I couldn't get off my mind....was he there? does he exist? maybe there's a God.....

One night I was talking to my friend again, and she knew I had all the information I needed. She knew that I had run out of questions to ask. Yet I was still trying to debate. In one clear, abrupt moment, my friend turned to me and said, "You know, I can't make this decision for you, and God's not going to wait forever."

And I immediately knew she was right. I was playing around with a very important decision. So I went home and decided that I was going to decide. I was going to either ask God to come into my life, or I was going to end the subject forever and never allow myself to consider the possibility of God again. I was tired of dealing with this decision. I was tired of thinking about it.

So, for the next three or four hours, I reviewed everything I had read and observed. I evaluated it all.

I concluded that the evidence for God was so strong that it made more sense to believe in God than to believe he wasn't there. Then I had to act on that conclusion.

I knew that just intellectually concluding God existed, was way too light. It would be like deciding...airplanes exist. Faith in an airplane means nothing. However, if you need to get somewhere and an airplane is the way, you have to decide to act and actually get on the plane.

I needed to make the decision to actually talk to God. I needed to ask him to come into my life.

After a few hours of thought I addressed God, "Ok you win. I ask you to come into my life, and you may do with it whatever you'd like." (It seemed reasonable to me, that since God exists, God had every right to influence and direct my life, if he wanted to.)

I went to bed and the next morning wondered if God was still there. And honestly, I kind of "sensed" that he was. One thing I knew for sure. I immediately had a huge desire to get to know this God whom I now believed in.

I wanted to read the Bible. When I did, it seemed that God was spelling out who he is and how he viewed this relationship with him. It was amazing. What really surprised me is how often he talked about his love. I hadn't expected that. In my mind, I was simply acknowledging God's existence. I had no expectations of him, but as I read the Bible, he chose to communicate his love to me. That was a surprise.

  82. Scott Ogle posted in exlldm blog the following:

    Daniel ,

    Scott:
I agree with you, these people have an unique chance that their voice being heard through your efforts for bringing justice to LLDM, BUT you’ll see Dani won’t answer your call, neither “Texano” a.k.a. Frank Medina who lives in Texas nor Sarai and others exlldm refugees in US. They’re all cowards and cunts; they believe that almighty god will be paying to Sami and ministers who committed offenses to them. They believe in the sweet baby Jesus words of “forgiven to offenders” and therefore stay in nowhere and darkness while bad customs in lldm will be continuing in the new generations, while the punishment don’t come, the offenses will go on.

Actually lldm applies something similar to Scientology’s “Fair Game” policies over dissidents, I think that lldm doing worst cuz there isn’t any write policy in lldm to follow, so there is no manual, just whatever the ministers figure out to command in accordance with their heart-feeling for punishing dissidents, that’s the why of this “silence wall” in exlldm and that’s why only blackmailing and hearsay along with “blessings” and “theology” can be found in the exlldm blog. They’ve nothing to do a concrete lawsuit against the cult or if they would have something, they’re too afraid for doing something, but the mere and solely existence of the blog PROVES ITSELF that EXLLDM HAVEN’T FORGIVEN NOTHING AT ALL. So they are as hypocrites ad lldm are

  83. I'm a cult newbie... what are Scientology’s “Fair Game” policies?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Well Scott I'm not a Scientology cult expert, but basically "Fair Game" is a set of policies well establish --like a manual-- that tell to members how to treat to dissidents, and it is reduced to following "policies" (Mainly)

--Excommunication. All social and familiar bonds between the dissidents and their relatives are cut, including parents, sons, daughter, etc.
--harassment. If the dissident is sneaky, or ministers thinks he/she could open the mouth, then a harassment policy is applied. This includes and is not limited to: Death or Injury Thread, Damage to dissident's assets; among others.

Basically these are the worst policies of "Fair Game"
I tell you what: lldm do the same.

I believe that a victim's testimony under oath documenting what happened to her by those associated with lldm would be relevant to a larger criminal investigation. As I understand, if a molestation happened as a result of the victim crossing an international border, there is no statute of limitations. It would appear likely that in some situations, that may have occurred with so many travels every member makes to Guadalajara and the return trip back to the U.S. and elsewhere.

Samuelitas are as the Gaza people, ruled out by a stupid criminal syndicate, who lead them to committee offenses against the rest (these could be similar to Israel) Example of this was the Graffiti in a mountain in Juarez City. Now they have to pay the fine and restore the damaged ecological system of that mountain, very similar with the Gaza's people, who have to pay their offenses (launching rockets against Israeli cities) that pay would be delivered by the retaliation of Israel. That’s the religions: Hatred, death and destruction. Ask yourselves, your religion has destroyed your family and you're the unique responsible, this a little and personal Gaza vs. Israel...No more!

    1. Although I understand that many lldm members don't go to Santa Cena/Lord's Supper, isn't it true that Apostle Samuel J Flores has always issued a mandate/directive that all members who are physically capable of travelling to Guadalajara every August 7-16 MUST attend in order to receive salvation? Yes, or no?

How do you explain the logistics of people travelling who don't have the proper immigration documentation?

The church itself handles that for its members through associations from God know where, but the link between Ahumada and how she received her fake documents is a window into a much larger organized religious criminal syndicate, aka Iglesia La Luz Del Mundo.

The bigger picture is what you are missing, but time will prove one of us wrong. One thing we may both be able to agree on is that it is a crazy world out there. Thank God for messengers, just don't shoot us.

You're right, many samuelitas have committed fraud with false immigrant documents and the church ministers encourages them to commit these acts...and they are as cynical that they pray to God for asking its help to achieve with success these frauds! (They pray to God to not get busted by U.S. Authorities)

They hopes in God no to being punished by commit criminal acts like that! just because they think God granted them to violate the law, because God is above all thing in earth! (it sound like HAMAS arguments)

    3. Yeah! the amateur lldm defender had to shut up his fakin mouth!
the evidence in U.S. vs Ahumada is really solid rock. But u.s. government never lift neither one finger thing about this concern.

    4. Admittedly, the Fbi and I are not on the best of terms, but that doesn't stop us from seeking justice within the law ourselves and providing evidence law enforcement should have found for themselves.

A strong indicator of LLDM's widespread immigration fraud activities are Samuel J Flores' own two sons. Atlai was born in Mexico with many witnesses present, but a month later he was "born again" in San Diego - not in a hospital, but in a house "witnessed" by several. Eva's signature is on both certificates. Naason immigrated as part of an immigration amnesty program in the '80's targeting migrant labors. Naason is listed as a "strawberry laborer". If it were true, what a great story he could tell coming up from being a berry picker to being on God's shortlist of His next 15th Apostleship appointment. If there is no successor to Samuel, according to LLDM theology, no one will make it to Heaven, similar to those unfortunate souls who lived between the time of the living Apostles 2000 years ago and Samuel's dad's Appointment during a dream likely the result of a bad burrito.

While most in law enforcement prefer no public exposure of LLDM in their 30 year long "sensitive investigation", I take the position that media exposure promotes public outcry that may result in legislators funding a more widespread investigation. Waiting for victims to report has been a failed policy that has produced no results.. .at all.

      >I did NOT "graciously offer to put the 'results' into powerpoint slides." We have no jurisdiction over matters in Mexico. We find no federal violations in this matter in our area of responsibility. Please provide whatever organization you wish whatever information you wish but please leave us out of it.

  110. At a time when Homeland Security's emphasis focuses on illegal immigration, a CHURCH has quietly risen to prominence by illegally coordinating its members to migrate annually to Guadalajara for week-long festivities by falsifying immigration documentation "in the name of God and the Living Apostle Samuel J. Flores". Below is a link to a recently published book that describes "Iglesia La Luz Del Mundo" / "Light of the World Church" as an "undocumented worker organizational hub" that facilitates undocumented workers within the U.S.with its Atlanta location being a center of activity headed by Carlos Montemayor - reportedly one of the most prolific pedophiles, apart from Samuel J. Flores, within the church hierarchy according to numerous reports of women whose virginity was given to Montemayor, and others as "the highest form of respect a young woman can give". Similar to Scientology, Koresh, and FLDS, the church has a process of handling dissent, along with conservative dress, arms and ammunition, and reported cases of sexual molestation linked to local ministers, leaders and the church's strong arm - the "Unconditionals" who are its paramilitary, many of whom served in the armed services. The authors fall short of calling LDM an organized criminal syndicate, but the authors accurately describe the church as the center of activity for the members seeking assistance in illegal migration. The authors compare LDM and its migration assistance to its members to safe houses during the Jim Crow days of slavery and reconstruction. It would seem that the people breaking the law back during reconstruction as a sign of resistance to slavery were much more justified than a Mexican church today that organizes its members to fraudulently share / pass immigration documents to illegally cross the U.S. border and attend an annual August 14 "Lord's Supper" in what some describe as a matter of "life or death". While there is certainly literature LDM will point to proclaiming that they respect the law, in the minds of its followers, the Apostle's proclamation to cross boundaries trumps any U.S. Federal Immigration laws prohibiting the same in what some refer to as a cult. Where is Rev. Sharpton when God needs him most?
